William G. Deubert, Psy.D.

Dr. William Deubert is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with academic, motivational, behavioral, and emotional difficulties. He earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from The George Washington University in 2001. Dr. Deubert has over fifteen years of experience treating children, adolescents and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings ranging from schools to residential and inpatient facilities. He has been in private practice in Northern Virginia since 2003.

Dr. Deubert's training and theoretical orientation is psychodynamic. However, he frequently integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) into his treatment approach based on the unique needs of the patient and the presenting problems at hand. He strongly believes in a multidisciplinary team approach, and routinely collaborates with teachers, school counselors, psychiatrists, other therapists and professionals who are involved with a particular patient and/or family. Dr. Deubert has a special interest in working with young adults who have recently graduated from high school, are attending college, or are in the early stages of their career and experiencing difficulties with this transitional phase of life.
